Foundation wheels are a tribute to the original ENVE road wheels that were introduced to the market in 2007. Each wheel in the Foundation collection features a host of exclusive technologies essential to achieving the “best in class” designation. These wheels benefit from a knowledge base established over more than a decade of development of the aero wheels of the premium Smart ENVE System (SES) range.
To achieve the low drag performance and high stability provided by the rim shapes, ENVE took the broad outline of the development of SES rims, the main difference between Foundation and SES being that Foundation rim geometries are matched (front and rear ) while the SES rims have shapes specially optimized for the front and rear positions of the bike. Thanks to this development, the ENVE Foundation offers similar or better drag reductions than even the most high-end competition wheels.

TUBELESS System

ENVE Foundation wheels are only compatible with Tubeless tires, note that these wheels have been designed to be more efficient when paired with a 25mm tubeless road tire, of course they are compatible with mounted Tubeless tires. in an inner tube for the most reluctant. Wide Hookless Bead

The ENVE Foundation also features ENVE’s Wide Hookless Bead technology. This technology is defined as a large area of the rim flanges. In addition, this feature increases the impact resistance of the rim.

Foundation Road Hub

As high-end hubs, the Foundation Road hub uses the proven ID360 40t ratchet drive mechanism and ENVE’s maintenance-free automatic preload system aptly called Perfect Preload ?.
This system eliminates the possibility of the hub developing play. It also eliminates the need for the consumer to adjust the preload themselves. In regards to
bearings, the Foundation RoadHub features fully sealed premium NTN steel bearings.
